What camera do you have?
I currently shoot with a Canon 6d. Some of the images on my site were created with a Canon 50d, a Canon 5dMkiii, and a Sony a7. 90% of images are Canon 6d + 50mm f/1.2, 50mm f/1.4, 70-200 f/2.8 IS.
Do you shoot video?
I have extensive experience shooting, editing, and producing short-form narrative videos. My current job requires some video, but right now I'm not taking on comissions for video due to time constraints. Please inquire for samples if reaching out with an employment offer.
what are your rates?
I strive to keep things affordable and accessible on the freelance side of things. I have a good starting place, but let's talk about your project first! Hit up that contact form, provide as many details as you can, and I'll respond in a timely manner. Unless you ask for something for free. Then probably not.
are you good at drawing?
Nope. I can't even read my own handwriting. I constantly push myself to use illustration as a visualization tool in my designs, but I'm more drawn to photography as a vehicle to convey thought and meaning.
What camera is the best/should i buy?
I'm assuming if you're asking, this is going to be your first DSLR or Interchangeable Lens Camera. My answer is always this: If you're buying new and spending more than $500 on the body, buy the brand your friends have, and the model that fits in your hand. If all your friends shoot Sony and you buy Canon, you can't borrow or try any gear. Talk to your friends, see what they have and what they like.
What's your beverage of choice?
6am - 4:59pm: Coffee.
5pm - 5:59am: Margarita.
Where do you get your coffee?
Work, Stumptown, Verve, Water Avenue, Heart, Roseline.
Where do you get your margaritas?
La Fiesta, Taqueria Nueve, My house.
How do you like PSU's design program?
It's incredible. If you're thinking about it, just do it. You'll be pushed hard, you'll meet new people, you might cry a few times and gain some weight (guilty....), but you will leave set-up for success with friends, a portfolio, contacts, and a self-made attitude.
